01What we are
Building Business is a free encyclopedia of doing business in India: every state and district, government schemes, industries, the towns famous for a trade, more than a thousand businesses you can start, and plain guides to money, loans, GST and selling.
It is written for the person starting from zero — a farmer’s son planning a unit, a woman starting from home, a shopkeeper ready to grow — in proper English and proper Hindi.
02Who runs it
Building Business is a venture of Agrimotion Engineering Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated in India on 10 July 2023 and registered with the Registrar of Companies, Kanpur. The registered office is in Sirsaganj, Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. Company details are on the Contact page.
03How we work
- Every number carries its source, and old figures carry their year.
- Every scheme shows whether it is open, closed or unclear, and when we last checked.
- If we could not verify something, we leave it out rather than guess.
- Mistakes are corrected openly — see How we verify.
04How we earn money
Reading the encyclopedia is free and needs no sign-up. Building Business earns from the paid services listed on our Services page, such as registrations and project reports. A service is never a condition for reading anything on this site.
05What we are not
We are not a government website and are not part of any ministry or department. We do not process scheme applications or decide eligibility — that happens on the official portals we link to.
