Trade agreement

India–EU FTA →Poland is in the European Union, so EU tariffs and rules apply. The India–EU FTA is not yet in force; until it is, normal EU duties apply.

Their import rules

  • EU product rules apply: CE marking for covered goods, EU food law and EU sanitary and plant-health checks at the border.
  • Polish standards are published by the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN); food safety is supervised by the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS). Labels must be in Polish.

How to find buyers

  • Write to the commerce wing of the Embassy of India, Warsaw for buyer lists and trade enquiries.
  • Read the trade enquiries that Indian missions abroad send to the Indian Trade Portal.
  • List your products on the Indian Business Portal (FIEO) so foreign buyers can find you.
  • Join your export promotion council's buyer-seller meets and Market Access Scheme (MAS) events.
  • Visit or exhibit at the trade fairs listed below; ask your export promotion council about subsidised India pavilions.
