Pure traders without processing or cold-chain assets.

§2Eligibility

  1. Cold chain (non-horticulture): dairy, meat, aquaculture/marine and other non-horticultural products needing cold chain; individuals, groups, Govt/PSUs/JVs/NGOs/cooperatives/SHGs/private companies.
  2. Primary processing / collection centres: horticulture and non-horticulture produce; individual entrepreneurs/farmers, groups, associations, cooperatives, SHGs, NGOs.
  3. Reefer vehicles: individuals, partnerships, societies, cooperatives, NGOs, SHGs, companies.

§3Benefits

  • Cold chain: grant 50% of bank-appraised cost or actual building + P&M (lower), max Rs 5 crore per project; plus 7% interest subsidy for 7 years, max Rs 25 lakh a year.
  • Renewable-energy pilot cold chain: 90% grant incl. solar plant, max Rs 5 crore (no interest subsidy).
  • Primary processing / collection centres: 75% of eligible project cost, max Rs 2.50 crore.
  • Reefer vehicles / mobile pre-cooling vans: credit-linked back-ended grant 50%, max Rs 50 lakh.

§4Norms — pattern of assistance

  1. Land, pre-operative expenses, working capital margin and contingencies not counted.
  2. Interest subsidy paid yearly to the bank against the term loan; period from completion and production as certified by GM DIC / Member Secretary SWCA.
