§1What this business is
A jumbo foil roll is loaded on an automatic rewinding machine with paper cores; the machine rewinds and counts small rolls, which are cut, taped and packed in boxes. The small rolls sell to households, restaurants and food packers for wrapping and storing food. It is one of the smallest set-ups in packaging: one machine and three or four people.
Capacity: 3,000 rolls a day (9 m each, 14 rolls per kg); 7,20,000 rolls a year at full capacity (report plans 50% in year 1 to 60% in year 5).
§2Is it right for you?
Who it is for

Advantages
- Very small machine cost — about ₹3–4 lakh
- Needs only 500 sq ft and 3 KW power
- Kitchen foil sells every day in homes and eateries
- Can supply private-label rolls to shops and brands
Drawbacks
- Net margin is thin (about 4%)
- Foil cost is about two-thirds of sales
- Easy to copy — many small rewinders
- Needs large working capital compared with the machine cost

- CGTMSECentralActiveNo collateral, up to ₹10 crore
PMEGP (report shows KVIC margin money of 25% on the ₹4.72 L fixed cost, i.e. ₹1.18 L); at ₹12.49 L it fits a MUDRA Tarun loan; CGTMSE for collateral-free cover.
§7Money
How the investment is worked out: Plant & machinery ₹3.72 L (rewinding machine ₹3,15,000 before GST) + furniture & other assets ₹1.00 L + working capital ₹7.78 L = ₹12.49 L. Finance: own ₹1.25 L, term loan ₹4.25 L, working capital limit ₹7.00 L. The summary page shows ₹4.72 L as 'cost of project', which is the fixed-asset part only.
Working capital: Working capital ₹7.78 L — most of the project — with a ₹7.00 L bank limit, because foil stock and finished rolls tie up cash.
