How to start

  1. Get an Import Export Code (IEC) from DGFT online; it is free and linked to your PAN.
  2. Register with the Coffee Board and get your RCMC (Registration-cum-Membership Certificate) through the DGFT e-RCMC system.
  3. Start as a green-bean trader sourcing graded lots from curing works, or as a small roaster for specialty buyers.
  4. Learn the Indian grade names (Plantation A, Robusta Cherry AB and others) that buyers quote.
