The story
Tamenglong's hill farms grow a sweet, thin-skinned mandarin orange, and the district holds an orange festival each winter to bring buyers to growers. Most fruit is sold fresh in Imphal and other markets. Tamenglong Orange was registered as a GI in 2021-22.
