The story
Kachai village in Ukhrul district grows a large, juicy lemon on its hill slopes, and the village celebrates it with an annual lemon festival. The lemon is sold fresh across Manipur and processed into juice and pickles. Kachai Lemon was registered as a GI in 2014-15.
