Chandigarh startup seed grant

DPIIT recognition

1. Incorporated as private limited company, LLP or registered partnership firm, not more than 10 years old on the date of applying
2. Registered and/or factory office in Chandigarh
3. Turnover not above ₹100 crore in any preceding financial year
4. GST registration in Chandigarh if turnover is above ₹20 lakh a year
5. Not taking benefits from similar schemes for the same project in another state
6. Valid incubation agreement (at least 2 years from date of application) with a U.T. Chandigarh recognised incubator
7. Early-growth stage: must have developed a Minimum Viable Product (proof needed)

• Seed / MVP stage: grant up to ₹7 lakh each for 20 startups a year
• Early growth / commercialisation stage: grant up to ₹12 lakh each for 20 startups a year
• Extra ₹2 lakh each for women-led or transgender-led startups

1. Corpus of ₹4.6 crore a year for seed and early-growth grants
2. Paid in 3 tranches through the parent incubator, against utilisation milestones
3. Approved by the Policy Monitoring and Implementation Committee (PMIC)

DPIIT Recognition Certificate

• Certificate of Incorporation with MoA and AoA (company/LLP) or Partnership Deed
• PAN of startup; TAN if applicable
• GST certificate (turnover above ₹20 lakh) or self-declaration (below ₹20 lakh)
• Proof of address in Chandigarh (utility bills of last 2 months / bank statement / registered rent or lease agreement / incorporation certificate / partnership deed)
• CA-certified turnover certificate with UDIN (Annexure G)

Declaration (Annexure E)

• Valid incubation agreement with a Chandigarh recognised incubator
• Business case: problem, product, USP, market and competition, 3-5 year action plan, 3-5 year revenue projection, fund utilisation plan
• For later tranches: utilisation certificate attested by incubator and CA; declaration on compliance with the fund plan
