The story
Agra's marble inlay work is tied to the building of the Taj Mahal, where craftsmen set semi-precious stones into white marble. Families of artisans have carried the skill forward and now make table tops, boxes, plates and souvenirs. Most of the trade is sold through showrooms that serve the city's tourists, and some is exported.
