The story
Bareilly is popularly called Bans Bareilly for its bamboo market, and its cane and bamboo furniture is sold across North India. Artisans bend, bind and weave cane and bamboo into chairs, sofas, blinds and baskets in small roadside workshops. Bamboo products are one of Bareilly's ODOP products, and Bareilly furniture has a GI tag.
