The story
Farrukhabad has long been a textile printing town, where printers use carved wooden blocks and later screens to print fabric, much of it for export. Its printers supply stoles, scarves and furnishing fabric to exporters in Delhi and other centres. Farrukhabad prints have a GI tag, and textile printing and zari-zardozi are the district's ODOP products.
