§2Subsidy zone
Zone254 industrially backward blocks (Annexure II)
Blocks / areas: Kollidam, Kuthalam, Sembanar Koil
Small and medium manufacturing units get 25% capital subsidy (max Rs.150 lakh), payroll subsidy and 50% stamp duty/registration reimbursement on land only in these blocks (or in Govt/SIPCOT/TANSIDCO estates). Micro units get capital subsidy anywhere. Agro-based units qualify in all 388 blocks.

- District Industries Centre (DIC), Mayiladuthurai — files for state subsidy schemes and ODOP go here; DIC is also an implementing agency for PMEGP.
- Lead District Manager (LDM) — coordinates the banks in the district; meet them if your loan is stuck.
