TIIPIS 2022 rates are the same statewide (power subsidy expressly 'irrespective of location'). TIIP 2024 promises special incentives for anchor units in industrially recessive districts but lists none.

§8Why do business here — and why not

Merits

  • Deep package: 30-40% capital subsidy, 100% net SGST for 5 years, power at ₹5/unit above 20 HP, 100% EPF/ESI for thrust units (TIIPIS 2022).
  • Only NE state with a 10% export subsidy for Bangladesh exports via its own LCS (TIIPIS 2022 cl. 16); Sabroom is about 75 km from Chattogram port (TIIP 2024).
  • Every claim and the eligibility certificate are online on SWAAGAT with printed proformas and document lists (2022 guidelines).
  • State reports itself power-surplus (3000.92 MU available 2021-22, TIIP 2024).

Demerits

  • TIIPIS 2022 window closes 31 Mar 2027; replacement not yet announced.
  • Units with P&M above ₹1 crore must claim P&M capital subsidy under the central scheme, not the State (cl. 7.2).
  • Bangladesh allows only about forty items through Tripura ICP/LCS; ICP works at Manughat/Muhurighat held up (TIIP 2024 para 23).
  • Most service activities are on the negative list.
