The story
Hoshiarpur's engineering units grew around the demand for tractors in Punjab's farms. Units at the Focal Point machine parts for tractor makers and the replacement market. The cluster has asked for a common facility centre, testing, a tool room and an inland container depot to cut export costs. Most units still use conventional, labour-heavy machines.

The tractor-parts cluster (SPV Advance Engineering Solution, Focal Point) had 55 functional units, a turnover of ₹25,000 lakh, exports of ₹5,000 lakh, and employed 2,210 people directly and 5,150 indirectly.
