The story
Malihabad, on the edge of Lucknow, is surrounded by mango orchards and is best known for the Dussehri variety. Orchard owners lease fruit to contractors each season, and the crop is sold through mandis across North India and increasingly exported. The Malihabadi Dussehri mango has a GI tag registered by the National Horticulture Board.
