The story
Raghurajpur near Puri is a heritage crafts village where almost every household paints. Pattachitra grew from painting images of Jagannath for the temple and pilgrims, using natural colours on treated cloth. Orissa Pattachitra is GI-registered, and the village is a stop on Puri's tourist circuit.
