DCPC reports production of 64.8 thousand tonnes of nylon 6 / nylon 66 in 2024-25 from monitored units. It does not publish an import source list for nylon chips.

- No Quality Control Order for nylon chips appears on the BIS compulsory-certification list (checked 18 Oct 2026).
- Check the import policy of your exact 8-digit ITC(HS) code on the DGFT website before you import.
Storage and handling
Keep sealed; nylon absorbs moisture and must be dried before moulding.
