Rules before you buy or sell
- BIS QCO for PVC homopolymers (IS 17658:2021) was rescinded by S.O. 5139(E) on 12 Nov 2025. QCOs on its inputs, vinyl chloride monomer (IS 17442) and ethylene dichloride (IS 869), were rescinded on 1 Dec 2025.
- Finished PVC pipes, cables and footwear still carry their own BIS rules — check the product, not just the resin.
- Check the import policy of your exact 8-digit ITC(HS) code on the DGFT website before you import.
