Where imports come from
India is a net exporter of soybean meal; HS 2304 imports were US$ 7.58 million in 2024-25.
Rules before you buy or sell
- Import and export are governed by the ITC(HS) policy; check the current DGFT notification before you sign a contract, because policy for farm goods changes often.
- Feed made from it should meet BIS feed standards (e.g. IS 1374 for poultry feed); GM soybean meal imports need regulatory approval.
