Rules before you buy or sell

  • The Acetic Acid QCO (IS 695:2020) was withdrawn by S.O. 3378(E) on 23 Jul 2025.
  • Flammable solvents are petroleum under the Petroleum Act; storing more than the exempt quantity needs a PESO licence under the Petroleum Rules, 2002.

Storage and handling

Corrosive and flammable; store in stainless-steel or HDPE tanks; it freezes below 16 °C.
