The story

Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City at Parawada, near Visakhapatnam, was planned in the early 2000s as a public-private pharma park with shared effluent treatment and a marine outfall. Port access and land drew Indian and global drug makers. The park has its own pharma SEZ. Nearby, a bulk drug park at Nakkapalli is being built to add more capacity.
