The story
Weaving in Mangalagiri grew around the Lakshmi Narasimha temple town, where pilgrims bought cloth. Weavers use pit looms to make fine cotton with a nizam-style zari border and no body designs. The town also belongs to a wider Guntur weaving belt making zari sarees. Mangalagiri Sarees and Fabrics carry a GI tag.
