The story
Indore was a textile-mill city, and when the mills declined, tailoring workshops and garment units took over the skills and the trading network. Hundreds of small units now stitch shirts, trousers, jeans and kidswear for wholesale markets across central and western India. The cluster formed Malwa Apparel Park Ltd as its SPV and set up an apparel training centre for skills.
