The story

Jodhpur's steel re-rollers roll stainless steel into thin sheets and strips, known locally as patta-patti, which utensil makers across India use. The cluster grew around traders who bought scrap and flat material and found buyers in the utensil trade. It now depends on flat steel brought in from other states.
