The story
Chhipa printer families in Sanganer and Bagru have printed cloth with carved wooden blocks for centuries. Bagru is known for earthy dabu (mud-resist) and natural-dye prints, while Sanganer is known for fine floral prints on white backgrounds. Export demand for home textiles and fashion has made both towns important suppliers.
