The story
Pali's hand processors began by dyeing and printing cloth for local markets and grew into a large processing hub for cheap fabrics. Effluent released into the Bandi river led to court orders, and the cluster built common effluent treatment plants. Pali also has the Falna umbrella cluster and is known for Sojat mehndi.

The Pali textile hand-processor cluster had about 600 units, Rs 150 crore turnover, Rs 10 crore exports and 3,000 workers (district profile 2015-16).
